Education

Higher medical education – he graduated from a medical university, obtaining a degree in medicine. This stage laid the foundation for his further specialization in the fields of surgery and oncology.

Residency – after graduating from the university, Kurbanov continued his training in a clinical residency in surgery, where he deepened his knowledge and skills in this field of medicine.

Postgraduate studies – Kurbanov completed postgraduate studies, conducting scientific research, which allowed him to defend his thesis and obtain the degree of Candidate of Medical Sciences.

Doctoral studies – Kurbanov also completed doctoral studies, which enabled him to defend his doctoral dissertation and receive the degree of Doctor of Medical Sciences.

CURRENT SCIENTIFIC INTERESTS

  • Arrhythmology – his work includes research in the diagnosis and treatment of arrhythmias, especially macro-reentrant tachycardias and atrial flutter. He introduced the latest diagnostic methods, such as 24-hour ECG monitoring and other modern techniques.

  • Genetic research – Kurbanov actively studies the genetic aspects of cardiovascular diseases, in particular, the E670G gene polymorphism in patients with hypercholesterolemia, which is significant for diagnosis and treatment.

  • Prevention of cardiovascular diseases – his research focuses on the prevention and treatment of heart failure and myocardial infarction, as well as the implementation of modern methods in clinical practice.

  • High-tech cardiac surgery methods – under his leadership, high-tech procedures such as X-ray endovascular surgery and interventional arrhythmology are being introduced at the Republican Specialized Cardiology Center. (Cardio-Eur) (Wikipedia) (Slibrary).

COMPUTER MODELING METHODS

  • Heart arrhythmia modeling: Using computer simulations, the behavior of the heart during arrhythmias can be predicted, allowing for more accurate diagnosis and the development of treatment strategies.

  • Blood flow simulations: Computer models help analyze hemodynamics – the movement of blood through the vessels, which is critical for understanding heart function in patients with heart failure and other pathologies.

  • 3D modeling of the cardiovascular system: This makes it possible to reconstruct the anatomical structures of the heart and blood vessels for planning surgical interventions, such as stent placement or arrhythmology procedures.

  • ECG data and biomarker analysis: Software algorithms can be used to process large amounts of ECG data to automatically detect heart rhythm abnormalities, enhancing diagnostic accuracy.

SCIENTIFIC PROJECTS (FUNDING)

  • There is insufficient information in open sources about the specific scientific projects of Ravshanbek Davletovich Kurbanov and their funding. However, it is known that he actively participates in major medical research and the implementation of high-tech treatment methods in cardiology. Research in his field is often funded by state medical institutions, the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan, as well as international organizations supporting medical science.

  • A significant portion of the funding for his projects likely comes through state healthcare development programs in Uzbekistan, given his key role in the country's cardiology service. For precise information about specific projects and their funding sources, it would be best to refer to reports on the activities of the Republican Specialized Center of Cardiology or specialized scientific journals.

PROFESSIONAL DUTIES

  • Director of the Republican Specialized Center of Cardiology: Management of the center, which combines scientific and clinical activities in cardiology. Kurbanov is responsible for the development and coordination of the cardiology service at the national level, including the implementation of the latest methods for diagnosing and treating cardiovascular diseases.

  • Chief Cardiologist of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan:  In this role, he is responsible for organizing and managing all cardiology programs at the national level, including coordinating the work of cardiology departments across the country and developing standards of medical care in the field of cardiology.

  • Chairman of the Association of Cardiologists of Uzbekistan: Leading a professional organization that unites cardiologists across the country. In this role, he organizes conferences, training sessions, and scientific events to improve the qualifications of specialists, as well as participates in international medical initiatives.

  • Research Activities: Kurbanov is actively engaged in cardiology research, coordinating scientific projects, developing and implementing new methods for the treatment and prevention of cardiovascular diseases, training young specialists, and supervising their scientific work.
