The scientific and practical journal “Cardiology of Uzbekistan” is a peer-reviewed journal founded in 2006 by the Association of Cardiologists of Uzbekistan with the participation of the Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center of Cardiology. Since its foundation, the journal has served as a professional platform for the dissemination of scientific knowledge, clinical research, and practical experience in the field of cardiovascular medicine. Initially published in print format, the journal fully transitioned to an electronic publication format in 2024 in accordance with modern standards of scholarly publishing.

“Cardiology of Uzbekistan” is an independent professional publication focused on the development of clinical, interventional, preventive, and academic cardiology. The journal publishes original research articles, systematic and narrative reviews, clinical studies, analytical materials, and clinical case reports reflecting current achievements in cardiovascular science and clinical practice.

The journal focuses on the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of cardiovascular diseases, including ischemic heart disease, arterial hypertension, rhythm and conduction disorders, heart failure, congenital and acquired heart defects, as well as modern methods of interventional cardiology, cardiovascular surgery, and transplantology.

The target audience of the journal includes cardiologists, cardiovascular and endovascular surgeons, transplantology specialists, internal medicine physicians, researchers in medical sciences, residents, postgraduate students, and healthcare professionals involved in cardiovascular medicine. The published materials are intended for scientific analysis, practical application, and implementation in clinical practice.

Following the principles of scientific ethics, transparency, and research reproducibility, “Cardiology of Uzbekistan” aims to contribute to the development of evidence-based medicine, the improvement of medical care, and the integration of national scientific research into the international scientific community.

Publication Frequency

The journal “Cardiology of Uzbekistan” is published quarterly, four times a year. Manuscripts are accepted on a continuous basis throughout the year. Each issue publishes a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 40 articles.


Open Access Policy

Articles published in “Cardiology of Uzbekistan” are fully open access and are made available online immediately after publication without subscription, registration, or embargo. All articles are published under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). Authors retain copyright to their published works and grant the journal the right of first publication.


Peer Review Procedure

The journal “Cardiology of Uzbekistan” applies a double-blind peer review procedure. All submitted manuscripts that pass initial editorial screening are reviewed by at least two independent reviewers. The identities of authors and reviewers remain confidential throughout the review process. The final editorial decision is made by the Editor-in-Chief or an authorized member of the editorial board based on the reviewers’ recommendations.

Ethical Obligations

The journal “Cardiology of Uzbekistan” follows internationally recognized principles of publication ethics, transparency, academic integrity, and responsible research publication. The journal applies the recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) in handling issues related to authorship, conflicts of interest, plagiarism, research misconduct, corrections, retractions, complaints, appeals, peer review, and editorial responsibilities. Article Processing Charge (APC)

Within the open access model, the standard Article Processing Charge (APC) of the journal is 200 USD and applies only to manuscripts accepted for publication. No submission fee is charged.

The APC covers the costs of editorial processing, peer review management, article preparation, online publication, metadata preparation, platform maintenance, and long-term digital archiving. Detailed information is provided in the “Fees for Authors” section.

In 2026, all publication costs for authors are covered by the Association of Cardiologists of Uzbekistan. Therefore, no APC or other publication fee is charged to authors during this period.


Plagiarism and improper borrowing

The editorial board of the journal “Cardiology of Uzbekistan” screens submitted manuscripts for plagiarism, improper borrowing, text recycling, and other forms of academic misconduct using plagiarism detection tools, including Antiplagiat.

Authors are responsible for ensuring the originality of their manuscripts and for properly citing all sources used in their work. Any unattributed use of text, data, figures, tables, or ideas from other sources is considered a violation of publication ethics.

If plagiarism, excessive text similarity, self-plagiarism, or improper borrowing is detected, the editorial office acts in accordance with the recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Depending on the severity of the case, the manuscript may be returned for revision, rejected, or, if already published, corrected or retracted.
